Dawn French is a Huge Twat at the London Palladium

October Dates: Thursday 19th October – Saturday, 21st October 2023

From one twat to another, and from the biggest twat of all (in her own words), I implore you to book a seat at the London Palladium to see the titan of comedy in her new show: Dawn French is a Huge Twat. Demystifying the twat ought to spark a curiosity in us all, especially in a world where perfection is so often the crowd-pleasing option, but the journey you are about to embark on will quash all pre-conceived notions, ensuring you fully embrace (and love) your inner fool.

But brace yourselves, you will emerge from this show bigger twats than when you entered, and you will give thanks for that.

No one else matters to me as soon as Dawn walks on stage. I’m sat next to my best friend, and she doesn’t even matter anymore, because it’s just me and Dawn, Dawn and me. My face is like the Cheshire Cat’s, and there I am clapping like a seal, screaming ‘TWAT’! You see, Dawn has that effect, and as I look around I notice I’m not the only one .Everybody has decided that they are Dawn’s new best friend,  all of us giggling and wanting to go up to the stage and cuddle her. There is a warmth, a big slab of lip-smacking sweetness and a tingling familiarity about Dawn French that gives her ICON status, and you know you’re in for the best night imaginable.

One thing Dawn shows through her comedy is that no one is perfect, and striving for perfection is foolhardy.

But brace yourselves, you will emerge from this show bigger twats than when you entered, and you will give thanks for that. One thing Dawn shows through her comedy is that no one is perfect, and striving for perfection is foolhardy. We are all in this together, and the ability to laugh at oneself is the biggest remedy in life. When you are faced with a body of work like Dawn French’s, from the early days of The Comic Strip to The Vicar of Dibley, you realise that it’s perfectly reasonable (and actually totally cool) to be a Huge Twat.

Book a seat and become a fellow TWAT at the London Palladium Thursday 19th October – Saturday, 21st October 2023
