‘Hey, Elvis!’ By Lew Allen
‘Hey, Elvis!’
You hear his voice, it’s lighter when he’s not in song. There is that rhythmic eloquence, always. Top heavy with the thick drawl, light on the bottom like a shot of gold rum that’s already on its way down. It’s so smooth, you can’t even remember pressing the glass against your lips.
He’s surprised to see you, but glad you came and you call his name, ‘Elvis!”
See this, and live through other memories from the golden era of rock and roll at Proud Gallery, currently hosting photography by Lew Allen.
